You can watch a video all about me here. Hi, I`m Baccus and I`m a lady of leisure. I`m a Red-lored Amazon and, while I don`t like to brag about my age, I`ve been around the block a time or two - about 35 years, to be exact. Since us Amazons can live to be 60 - 80, I`ve still got a lot of years left.

I spent my whole life with one very loving person before coming to Mickaboo after he passed away. While I miss him, I`ve settled into my foster home beautifully. My foster mom says I`m a `gentle soul,` and I have to agree. I`m patient, trusting, and I`ve even been a total rockstar at the vet.

If you work from home, I`m your girl! I`m a great office assistant. I love to hang out on my playstand near a desk. I`ll admit, I might try to `help` you type or borrow your favorite pen for a quick chew, but if you give me some crumpled paper or my own toys, I`m happy to just sit nearby and keep you company. I`m great at `stationing` and staying put while you get your work done.

I`m a bird of simple tastes. Right now, I`m going through a bit of a wardrobe change (a major molt), which means I have a very itchy head that I can`t quite reach. If you`re willing to help a girl out with some gentle scritches, we`ll be best friends in no time. When it comes to my toys, I`m quite the project manager: I prefer to focus on one toy at a time, working on it diligently until it`s been successfully shredded to toothpicks before I even think about moving on to the next one in the rotation. You`ll also find that I`m a surprisingly sophisticated eater; while some birds have a sweet tooth for fruit, I`m a total veggie enthusiast. I`ll pick a piece of squash over almost anything else, though I certainly won`t say no to the occasional `treat` almond...a lady has to live a little, after all! Most of all, I just love being part of the `flock,` whether that`s watching the kids play in the family room or keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood from my favorite window.

I might not be a `stellar` human-language speaker, but I have plenty to say! I love to mumble, whistle, chirp, and purr. I usually like to greet the world with a good yell first thing in the morning to start the day right, but after that, I`m pretty low-maintenance and quiet. My first person played the guitar and I love music.

I`m looking for a forever home where I can be your best friend, your office companion, and your favorite veggie eating buddy. Could that be with you?"
