Hi, I`m Romi and I`m so worthy of a new home! Could it be with you? Do you like underdog stories? (Well, I guess "underbird" is more appropriate in this case). Please keep reading! I`m a male Goffin`s cockatoo. I was rescued out of a methamphetamine house over 25 years-ago. I was happy with my family after they got me out of the drug house. I was out of my cage all day and night. My dad was my favorite human, but when he passed away, I transitioned to my mom being "my person." I don`t bite "my person" and will step-up and enjoy head scritches from them. Like so many cockatoos in captivity, I`ve always plucked my feathers, but I took a turn for the worse and began mutilating when a follicle from picking out a feather became irritated. My mom is elderly and didn`t know what to and was considering euthanasia. That`s when she reached out to Mickaboo and, luckily for me, Mickaboo stepped in to take me to the vet.

I`m all healed up from mutilation now and ready for my next home. I ate a seed mix all of my life, and since the vet says it`s better for my health, I`m learning to eat pellets. I`ve always enjoyed fresh banana. I`m afraid of baseball caps and animals on the television. I`ll yell if dogs come on the television, so if you want to watch the Westminster Dog Show, don`t do so in the same room as me! If you have a huge, kind heart and want to give me a great home, please go to "how to adopt" on the website and sign-up for the basic bird care class! I`m waiting for you.
